On April 11, 2022, the Superintendent for the Americas of IBREI, Fábio Frederico, and President Mauricio Prazak attended a reception honoring the distinguished presence of the First Lady of Uruguay, Lorena Ponce de León. The reception was organized by the Consulado Geral do Uruguai em São Paulo, led by Consul General, Ambassador Marta Echarte Baraibar. The event was also attended by representatives of the Government of Canelones Department (the country’s main economic region)

On April 12, 2022, IBREI participated in the official opening of ANUFOOD Brazil. The trade fair originates from Anuga, the largest trade fair in the world in the sector. Focused on the food and beverage industry, the event annually attracts thousands of entrepreneurs from Brazil and abroad.

Daniel Lau, Institutional Ambassador of IBREI to China, represented the Institute at the inauguration of the new photovoltaic module production line of BYD Energy. BYD already operates across all six continents and, in Brazil, is launching new investments for the local production of renewable energy generation solutions and electric mobility.

On April 24, 2022, Marcos Semenzin, President of the Real Estate Committee of IBREI, represented the Institute at a meeting organized by Azov and Neto Cavalcanti Advogados, featuring speeches by Guilherme Afif Domingos and the President of the Associação Comercial de São Paulo, where the future of retail in the new economy was discussed.

On May 12, 2022, IBREI was welcomed at the new headquarters of Italcam by the Secretary General, Adriana Mira (who also serves as IBREI’s institutional ambassador to Italy). In attendance were President Maurício Prazak and CEO Lino Fernandes. The meeting agenda focused on strengthening the institutional relationship between the two organizations and defining joint action initiatives centered on business relations between Brazil and Italy.

On May 24, 2022, IBREI President Maurício Prazak was one of the invited authorities at the opening of the traditional ABCasa Christmas and Party Fair. Longtime partners, IBREI and ABCasa work together to bring international business opportunities to entrepreneurs in the sector. Held in person, the fair marks the resumption of activities in the sector, as well as a sign of the recovery of the Brazilian economy.
