Between June and August 2021, the BRICS SDG Awards will take place. This is an award by the BRICS Business Council for entrepreneurship projects focused on sustainable development initiatives. In each member country of the bloc, an institution will be responsible for organizing and executing the award. On July 6, 2021, IBREI welcomed Mr. Ngo Xuan Ty, Head of the Trade Office of the Embassy of Vietnam in Brazil, at its headquarters. On the agenda is the signing of an MOU between IBREI and the Embassy to develop a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening business relations between the two countries.

On July 2, 2021, IBREI met with the Université du Québec and the Tribunal Administrativo do Trabalho de Quebec to discuss the organization of events and initiatives related to international conciliation, mediation, and arbitration. The agenda already includes plans for a major international event in 2022 involving France, Canada, and Brazil. More news will be posted soon.

As organizer of the IBREI BRICS Solutions for SDGs Awards, the Institute now moves to the next stage of the process: the nomination of the jury panel that will evaluate the projects submitted by the five countries. The projects were submitted in seven categories, and the jurors will have until July 30 to evaluate them. More information will be posted soon.
