World in Focus: Rebuilding Rio Grande do Sul



The meeting addressed the challenges and opportunities amid the crisis in the state.




On June 11, IBREI hosted the event "Brazil in Focus: The Reconstruction of Rio Grande do Sul," which highlighted initiatives to emphasize the importance of state cooperation with the private sector. The initiative brought together authorities and experts to discuss the challenges and strategies needed to overcome the crisis affecting the state.


The Secretary of Justice, Citizenship, and Human Rights of Rio Grande do Sul, Fabrício Peruchin, was one of the highlights of the event. He presented an overview of the current situation in the state and detailed the work of his office in protecting those affected by the crisis. He also highlighted the emergency measures adopted to mitigate the social and economic impacts of the crisis.


Rafael Gessinger, Undersecretary of Justice and Institutional Integrity of the state, also contributed insights on integrity and justice policies. Among the topics discussed, the challenges and opportunities associated with the celebrations of the Bicentennial of German Immigration stood out, as these events hold great historical significance for the region.


Karen Schneider, President of IBREI's Thematic Tourism Committee, served as moderator, ensuring a dynamic and informative debate. Her active participation and mediation fostered a rich exchange of ideas and proposals, contributing to the planning of future reconstruction efforts in the state.
