2nd IBREI Business Council Meeting Highlights Brazil-China Relations and Contributions to Legislative Bills

On May 17, 2023, the highly anticipated 2nd Meeting of the IBREI Business Council (Brazilian Institute for the Development of International Business Relations) was held at Nutrimental's headquarters. The meeting was chaired by the Council President, Lilian Schiavo.

A highlight of the meeting was the swearing-in of new council members, who now join the select group responsible for strengthening Brazil's international business relations.
Among the various topics discussed, the strengthening of Brazil-China relations stood out. This topic was expertly addressed by IBREI's Institutional Ambassador to China, Daniel Lau. The discussion about business opportunities and cooperation between the two countries generated great interest among participants.
Another key topic was the Fake News Bill currently under consideration in Brazil's National Congress. IBREI's Data Protection Officer (DPO), André Faustino, led discussions about the institute's contributions to improving this important legislation for combating misinformation and protecting digital privacy.
Additionally, IBREI's contributions to the Tax Reform and Fiscal Framework projects were presented, with these topics being led by the institute's Director of Government Relations, Rafael Bernardi.
