On November 18, 2020, IBREI met with the Consul General of Paraguay, Ambassador Luiz Fernando Ávalos, to discuss joint actions between the institutions and the promotion of trade and business relations between the countries. Representing IBREI at the meeting were its President, Mauricio Prazak, and its Institutional Ambassador to Paraguay, Fábio Frederico. On November 24, 2020, IBREI participated in a meeting with the Ambassador of Paraguay to Brazil, Juan Angel Delgadillo. The meeting included companies affiliated with Sindiatacadistas. The focus of the meeting was to present business opportunities in the country, discuss issues related to treaties under negotiation, and address questions from entrepreneurs.

On November 30, IBREI and SIMDE met to discuss international business opportunities for companies in the Security and Defense sector. In October, the institutions signed a cooperation agreement (see here the ceremony celebrating the Agreement) aimed at joining efforts to develop the sector in Brazil. On December 1, 2020, IBREI participated in the launch event of the 1st Virtual International Fair of Export, Logistics, and Investments 2020, “Getting Back to Growth.” The Fair is organized by the Chamber of Exports, Logistics, and Investment Promotion of Santa Cruz (CADEX). The IBREI Institutional Ambassador to Chile, Lilian Schiavo, represented IBREI at the international event Seminar for the Presentation of the Women's Empowerment Program – PROFFEM. The invitation to participate was extended by the Chilean Ambassador, Iris Boenninger Von Kretschmann.

The event held on November 19, 2020, was moderated by the IBREI Institutional Ambassador to South Korea, Su Jung Ko, and covered topics such as brand curation for Latin America as well as the procedures for registration and obtaining a license from ANVISA.

We are honored to announce that IBREI’s International Representative in France, Ariane Ferrari, upon the Institute’s nomination, has had her appointment approved as an Arbitrator at the Paris Mediation and Arbitration Chamber (CMAP). Ariane is now coordinating an important partnership between CMAP and IBREI focused on arbitration activities in Brazil. Soon, we will share more news about this important initiative.

Considering all the recent technological developments of the Institute, an IT Center was established. On December 7, the group met to discuss digital matters and to continue the implementation of the data protection compliance program (LGPD) for IBREI and its partners. More detailed measures are under discussion by the group and will be regularly published on our website.
