World in Focus: Impacts of the Russia–Ukraine Conflict

On May 3, 2023, IBREI (Brazilian Institute of International Business Relations) held the event “World in Focus: Repercussions of the Russia–Ukraine Conflict.”
The meeting featured three renowned experts who addressed different perspectives on the topic: Dr. Michel Alaby, Elisa Sohlman, and Ivan Causo.
Dr. Michel Alaby, a specialist in Arab countries, presented an overview of the relationship between Russia and Middle Eastern countries.
Elisa Sohlman, IBREI’s international representative in Sweden, discussed the consequences of the conflict on the relationship between the European Union and Russia.
Finally, Ivan Causo, IBREI’s international representative in Russia, provided an analysis from the Russian perspective.
During the event, topics such as the role of the United States and China in resolving the conflict, the impact of the war on the global economy, and the outlook for the crisis were discussed.
The event was an opportunity to understand the various facets of this major international conflict and its implications for the world.
