Launch of CEMB

On July 20, 2021, the President of IBREI, Maurício Prazak, participated in the launch of the Convergência Empresarial de Mulheres do Mercosul.

The Convergence is composed of women entrepreneurs from the four countries of the Mercosur bloc, representatives of business and commercial chambers, federations, rural entities, and associations of businesswomen. It is an institution focused on developing regional strategy proposals for the economic empowerment of companies and women entrepreneurs in Mercosur, especially in the export sector.

The first presidency of the institution is held by Lilian Schiavo, who also serves as President of OBME and advisor to IBREI, among other roles in her extensive curriculum.

Participants in the event included:

  • Laura Velásquez – Coordinator of the Convergence Empresarial de Mulheres do Mercosul (CEMM);

  • Rodrigo Bardoneschi – Head of the Economic and Commercial Section of the Argentine Embassy in Brazil;

  • Lídia Sartoris Angeli – Honorary Vice President of FCEM;

  • Lilian Schiavo – President of the Convergence Empresarial de Mulheres Brasileiras no Mercosul (CEMB);

  • Fernando Viégas Peixoto – Deputy Head of the General Coordination of Trade Promotion (CGPR/MRE);

  • Marta Echarte – Consul General of Uruguay;

  • Facundo Fernández – Consul of Uruguay;

  • Haydée Emma Dienstmaier de Perez – Deputy Consul of Paraguay;

  • Maria Victoria Giulietti – Senior Specialist, Employer Activities at the OIT;

  • Paz Arancibia – Regional Coordinator of the Win-Win Program: gender equality as good business, promoted by the OIT, ONU Mulheres, and the União Europeia;

  • Julia Scandale – Consultant of the Win-Win Program;

  • Fernanda Maciel – International Relations Manager at the Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI);

  • Laura Truel – President of CEMS Argentina;

  • Anabela Aldaz – President of CEMM Uruguay;

  • Carina Daher – President of CEMM Paraguay.
