The Brazilian Institute for the Development of International Business Relations (IBREI) welcomed today, November 21, 2025, Ambassador Marta Echarte Baraibar, former Consul General of Uruguay in São Paulo, for a special lecture as part of the 2025 program of IBREI’s International Relations Student Committee.
The Ambassador shared her professional journey in the diplomatic career, recounted experiences from different postings, and offered students a practical perspective on the challenges, responsibilities, and daily routine of a diplomat. At the end of the lecture, she also led a hands-on training session with the students, covering protocol, etiquette, and procedures in a diplomatic mission, providing a realistic and dynamic insight into professional practice.
IBREI extends special thanks to Rafael Gomes, Matheus Bastos, Luiz Henrique Kallas, and all other members of the Student Committee’s organizing team for their commitment and dedication in making the event possible.
IBREI’s International Relations Student Committee was created to provide practical experience in diplomatic relations, foreign trade, and international business life, bringing students closer to the professional environment. The Committee is entirely organized by students and recent graduates and is open to International Relations students in Brazil and abroad who wish to participate.
Students interested in joining the Committee may contact us via email at: ibrei@ibrei.org.
