IBREI participated, on June 15, in a meeting of the BRICS Business Council with Marcos Troijo, who assumed the presidency of the NDB (New Development Bank) — a bank created by the BRICS bloc countries and which, for the next 5 years, will be under Brazilian leadership.

The meeting was convened so that the new president could present to the Council his plan for the bank’s management for the next five-year period.
Among the major challenges ahead, the message conveyed is that the management will be marked by innovation and the expansion of the Bank, which will, moreover, increase the number of sovereign members from 5 to 15.
Among the members who officially represent IBREI before CEBRICS, the following participated in the meeting:
the President, Maurício Prazak,
the VP Ana Paula Távora de Castro,
the directors Arthur Martinho, Rafael Bernadi, and Cláudia Galaverna,
as well as the members Madeleine Blankenstein, Akemi Shoy, Ivan Causo, Luan Camargo, Mariana Santos de Castro, and Felipe Burman.
